OFFSET PRINTING

Using the best in print machinery with personal close attention to detail, we pride ourselves on the ability to produce quality results and always continuing to do so.
Offset printing is the best choice when considering your next project where very high quality and medium to high volume copies are required.
Offset printing also provides extremely accurate colour with sharp and clean image reproduction.

The Offset Process:

  • Offset is one of the most common ways of creating printed materials.
  • The technology uses aluminium plates to transfer an image onto a rubber ‘blanket’ and then rolling that blanket image onto the sheet of paper.
  • Offset printing uses CMYK and Pantone Matching System (PMS).

Printing Inks:

CMYK process inks are the commonly used print process.
When preparing an image for printing in CMYK, the electronic file is separated into the four primary colours Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black.
The image is recreated using screen tints made up of small dots that are applied at different angles to the four process colours. The four processes are then printed one after the other to recreate the original image. The CMYK colours are manufactured colours and are not mixed

Alternatively PMS ink can be used especially to match corporate specific colours that CMYK may not be able to achieve effectively such as bright and soft pastel colours. Also be used when only 1 , 2 or 3 colours are required avoiding extra plates being made. PMS colours are mixed using the Pantone formula guide by mixing primary colours together at different ratios.
